Jakarta 70 % BLACKBERRY ILEGAL- The operator finally admitted, from the hundreds of thousands of BlackBerry devices in circulation in Indonesia, 70% of whom are illegal devices that enter through the black market aka black market (BM).

Committee member Indonesian Telecommunications Regulatory Body (BRTI) Heru Sutadi admitted, illegal circulation of BlackBerry in Indonesia is very high. "The value of the loss could even reach trillions of rupiah in the year," he said.

On the other hand, Group Head of Brand Marketing Indosat Teguh Prasetya, the growing BlackBerry market illegally should be a challenge for operators to better develop a more optimal service innovation, while seeking a more affordable price of the device.

"With the higher official Blackberry sales growth in Indonesia will trigger lower prices. It is not impossible if the price will go down up to Rp 1 million," he hoped.
